Hailey has been practicing as an attorney since 2018 and a doula since 2021.

Nice to meet you and welcome to PronatalEsq. I graduated from Cornell University with a B.A. in History and Government and earned a J.D. from Columbia University. I am a DONA trained birth doula. I practiced for 5 years as a Capital Project and Infrastructure attorney before deciding to follow my passion for advocacy in my role as a birth doula and birth plan consultant.

My passion for birth work is inspired by my commitment to informed consent and individual empowerment. I feel strongly that each and every woman is entitled to strive for the birth of her dreams, with an astute understanding that although birth does not always go according to plan, empowered decision-making lies at the core of any successful birth experience.

My belief is that when women are well informed about what may or may not happen during their births, and when they are prepared to advocate for themselves based on that information, they will have better birth outcomes and walk away from their experiences with reduced risk of emotional trauma.

Our modern medical system forces us to navigate a complicated landscape of hospital policy. My training as a lawyer as prepared me to make sense of such policies and prepare my client’s to advocate for themselves with confidence in that landscape.

I am looking forward to sharing my philosophy of birth work with you and supporting you in your birth journey.
